The Winter Remedy

These fires of mine are healing

with the senseless misery I threw out the door

the second I saw day.

You are winter’s angel

Snowfall bends to your will without questioning

the intention of such sway

And although I freeze beneath the pine,

most of the time,

the remedy of finally meeting you

is enough of a home for me to stay
